Cian Creed-Healy joined the MASS Team in 2019 in the role of Customer Service Supervisor. In 2020, he transitioned into the new role of Systems Supervisor, overseeing our technical systems and other projects within our daily operations.
Cian brings an international presence to our team, hailing from the South Coast of Ireland. Born and raised in Cork City, his first move ever was to Canada just a couple of years ago. In true Irish culture, he grew up surrounded by extended family, amplifying the role of those important relationships in his life. This sense of family focus makes Cian a perfect fit for the MASS team, as we continue to grow while maintaining this as the backbone of our company culture.
Cian’s professional background involves an array of valuable experience, reflecting his passion for people and technology. He’s worked in the entertainment software industry where he managed a large customer service team while developing a highly relevant skill set in tracking, measuring, and monitoring the success and performance of customer service systems. As his role develops with MASS, we look forward to his application of this background to enhance what we do.
Cian came to Canada to join his fiancée, Julie, who he met while she was vacationing in Ireland. After a year of long-distance, he made the commitment to join her here in the Great White North, where he is now excitedly exploring his new ‘home away from home.’ Since coming to Canada, he’s fallen in love with the National and Provincial Parks, most particularly Algonquin where he was lucky enough to see his first moose! He enjoys camping and enjoying the connection with the earth that can only truly come from spending time in nature.
Having been born in one of the most beautiful and nature-rich countries in the world, a desire to protect our environment and promote sustainability comes naturally to him. As a child, he spent his summers playing on the beaches and hiking the hills of Ireland. He hopes that as we work together to achieve future goals of sustainability, we can protect this planet so that future generations can continue to enjoy Mother Nature in the same way.
Waste Audit Technician & Sustainability Coordinator
Gavin McGuire joins the MASS Waste Audit Team in 2019, bringing with him a highly developed background in environmental protection, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Bishop’s University, and an Environmental Planning Diploma from Fleming College. In addition to his exceptional academic background, Gavin has committed his professional pursuits to conservation of our planet, most recently in his work with Sustainable Cobourg, as their Communications & Environmental Outreach Intern.

He believes that that environment is something that is worth standing up for, and he is proud to be a voice for the planet in an era when the impact of humans on nature is being so profoundly felt. He looks forward to a future where Canadian companies are committed to designing products from ‘cradle-to-cradle,’ meaning they are designed to be reusable or recyclable after their useful life.
Gavin makes a conscious effort to take time and appreciate our planet in his daily life. The outdoors is where he goes to relax and unwind, and he is a strong proponent of the belief that spending time in nature, away from the hustle of life is the best kind of medicine. Social Media and Education Intern
Sarah Northey joins the MASS team as a Social Media Intern and Education Coordinator. Sarah is currently a third year commerce student at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology; majoring in marketing and minoring in entrepreneurship. Sarah chose to major in the marketing field because she takes a strong interest in creating relationships with clients and understanding how to create a strong company image. She feels that these aspects are very important when running a business, which is why she is extremely excited to work for MASS, who holds these same ideologies.
Sarah’s educational journey thus far has been interesting. In her first year of studies, she founded the Ontario Tech Dance Program, which was the university’s first dance club. With that title, she was responsible not only for teaching but for creating engaging social media content to keep a sense of community online and to attract new members. Sarah is also a part of other extra-curricular activities , including the marketing association and finance association through her school. When Sarah isn’t working she enjoys walking Charlie, her golden lab, taking dance classes, and reading.
Recently, Sarah has taken a dive into entrepreneurship by starting her own candle business. These candles are all natural and do not produce ingredients that are harmful to the environment. After starting this journey, she was truly able to understand how to run a successful social media page for a business. Also, creating a product that is eco-friendly, she is able to use these skills knowledge for MASS and adapt into their online community.
She is excited to work with MASS because of their deep environmental focus and family roots. Coming from a family run business herself, she has an understanding of the amount of hard work and dedication it takes to make a business successful. In addition, she feels that all businesses should be creating a positive impact on society, which correlates with what MASS takes part in every day.
Overall, Sarah looks forward to contributing to MASS’ social media and helping create a strong online presence as well as creating long lasting relationships with social media users.
