Twinkling Lights … Christmas Cookies … Festive Celebrations … Happy Hearts … The Joy Of Giving! What’s not to love about this special time of year!? However you and your loved ones recognize this season, our team at MASS wants to take this special opportunity to share our warm wishes of glad tidings and prosperity with you!
As you probably know if you’ve been following this blog, MASS Environmental Services Inc. is a family owned and operated company. Our company founders (President and Vice President) George and Marnie Brown are husband and wife, and their two grown children, Mac and Alex, both work for the company as well! Mac’s fiancee also works for the company, and with this sense of community spirit, we truly do consider every member of the ‘MASS Team’ a part of the extended family. Because of that, this special time of year is particularly important to our team. Because if there is one thing that we can all agree on, is that this time of year is best spent with family!
We want to take a moment and make special note of the many different celebrations that families are enjoying right now, around the world. If you follow our Facebook Page, you’ve likely noticed that we’ve made a focused effort to recognize the various holidays and festivities that are celebrated throughout the month of December. From Hanukkah, to St. Nicholas Day, to Winter Solstice, to Christmas, to Kwanzaa … Families around the world from so many different backgrounds are gathering in peace, love, and community, sharing in the magic of the season. At MASS, we believe the diversity of our global population is truly remarkable, and we are so proud to be a Canadian company, in a country where this is celebrated. Today is Christmas Eve, and many families will be gathering in celebration this evening and tomorrow. We want to wish those families a wonderful celebration, and we also want to send our best wishes to everyone else as well!
This year, our office celebrated the holidays by truly getting into the Christmas spirit, when we attended the Northumberland Players production of Miracle on 34th Street at the Firehall Theatre here in Cobourg, Ontario. The production was absolutely brilliant, and we were thrilled to support the local arts scene here in the town we call home. Before heading to the play, we had dinner as a team at Cat and Fiddle, a favourite local restaurant. Almost our entire team was in attendance, plus significant others and their children! It was so wonderful to get the group together, and we were grateful for the opportunity to spend quality time as a team.
Another important way that we celebrated the holiday season was through our annual tradition of giving back. At MASS, we are committed to making contributions to charities and community groups throughout the entire year, as we believe this is an important part of corporate responsibility. During the Holiday Season, however,we like to take time to make a special donation to a selected cause to support them in their valuable efforts to make the world a better place. This year, we chose to support the Cobourg Salvation Army Community Response Vehicle. This is a mobile vehicle that travels throughout our region, meeting our most vulnerable community members where they are. The team provides a hot meal and additional services to the people they service, with the mission to make this community a safe place for all who live here. As proud members of the Cobourg community, this cause is especially dear to us. We understand how difficult it can be for members of our communities to access the services that they need, so we love that this vehicle is mobile, and brings the necessary services to where these people are.
As always, we also want to remind each of our clients that we will continue to be here for you throughout the hustle and bustle and varied business hours of the holiday season. Please remember to get in touch with us at anytime with questions or concerns. Please Contact Us at any time, and our 24 / 7 / 365 Customer Service team will be happy to assist you.
In closing, we want to take this moment to wish you and your loved ones a happy and safe Christmas celebration! This magical time of year is sacred to so many, and we wish each of you the peace, joy, hope, and love that embodies this season, all year round!
